In the Levi and Kittilä region, there are plenty of training opportunities available during the quieter tourism season. You are welcome to develop your skills in areas such as leadership, property maintenance, business, wilderness guiding, sustainable or wellbeing tourism, and the use of natural products.
The trainings take place between April and October.
Currently available trainings
Tourism:
- Liikuntamatkailun osaamispolku Leville (Santasport), 10–25 credits. Continuous application.
- Tunturialueen kiinteistöpalvelujen moniosaaja – puhtaat ja toimivat tilat (oppisopimuskoulutus, REDU). Application for the spring module ends on April 8.
- Wilderness and Nature Guide, (REDU), 150 credits. Application ends on March 15, 2026.
- Vocational Qualification in Tourism, Lapland International Tourism Professional (REDU), 180 credits. Application ends on May 31, 2026.
- Wilderness and Nature Guide (Lappia), Vocational Qualification in Nature-based Studies (180 credits). Application ends on April 24, 2026.
- Sustainable Tourism Expert MOOC (University of Lapland), 1–5 ECTS credits. Continuous start.
Leadership:
- Dream Crew Academy – online training for supervisors and aspiring leaders (Lapland UAS). Application ends on March 26.
- Peer groups for supervisors and developers (Levi Kampus). First meetings will be held in May.
Business:
- Payroll Administration, part of the Vocational Qualification in Business. Online studies from April 7 to May 27, 2026.
- Customer Relationship Management, part of the Vocational Qualification in Business. Online studies and assignments from May 4 to May 27, 2026.
- Operating in a Business Environment, part of the Vocational Qualification in Business. Online teaching during weeks 43–48, continuing in spring 2027.
- Customer Service (REDU). Online teaching during weeks 33–41.
